Joe Hoefgen, the former city manager for Palos Verdes Estates, has been tapped as the acting director of recreation and community services for Redondo Beach.
Hoefgen, 47, on Monday began his new job, which includes overseeing operations of Seaside Lagoon, the Redondo Beach Performing Arts Center and the city’s senior citizen centers. He replaces Maggie Healy, who will return to her former position as assistant to the city manager.
