As posted in the Palos Verdes Patch, Palos Verdes residents will have an opportunity to hear candidates for Rancho Palos Verdes City Council as they voice opinions on city issues tonight at a candidates forum.

The Rancho Palos Verdes Council of Homeowners Associations (CHOA) will host the council candidates forum, moderated by Maria Serrao, producer for RPV TV, from 7-9 p.m. atFred Hesse Community Park, 29301 Hawthorne Blvd.

Candidates for the open Rancho Palos Verdes Council seats are Eric Alegria, small business owner and teacher; Susan Brooks, former Rancho Palos Verdes mayor; Ken Dyda, former Rancho Palos Verdes mayor; Dave Emenhiser, current Rancho Palos Verdes planning commissioner; Dora de la Rosa, current PVPUSD Board of Education president; Jim Knight, current Rancho Palos Verdes planning commissioner; Jerry Duhovic, current vice chair of the RPV Finance Advisory Committee; and Cynthia Smith.

Seven of the eight candidates participated in a forum Sept. 7 at Point Vicente Interpretive Center.
