Athens will pick up trees from the curb Dec. 26 through Jan. 11 in Palos Verdes Estates on regular trash pickup days.
The same rules apply for the other Palos Verdes cities — no decorations, no tree stands and trees over 6 feet tall must be cut in half.
For those who miss the tree pickup time frame, trees can be cut into pieces and placed in yard waste containers.
