City of Rancho Palos Verdes to Look at Alternative locations for Skateboard Park

The City Council of the City of Rancho Palos Verdes voted to look at alternative locations for a skateboard park within city boundaries rather than locating the park at Lower Hess Park. I am in favor of a skateboard park on the Palos Verdes Peninsula. When my 3 boys were younger, they all loved to skateboard, and this would be a great way to give our kids a place to gather instead of malls, on school property, etc.

This is the same response that the City gave months ago in their review of the possiblity of locating a dog park at either Lower Hess Park or the pllanned Grandview Park. To date, the City has done nothing to evaluate another location for a dog park, so I wish the skateborad park advocates good luck with that.
