Palos Verdes High Schoolwas one of 218 schools in California designated as a California Distinguished School on Thursday. In Los Angeles County, 39 schools were recognized. Palos Verdes High School was the only school inPalos Verdes Peninsula Unified School Districtto receive the honor. The level of inventory of homes for sale of56 homes is down significantly with the average number of homes for sale having decreased approx. 47% compared to the end ofFebruary last year. Two incumbents were re-elected to second terms on the Rancho Palos Verdes City Council in Tuesday €™s balloting. With all 16 precincts reporting, Councilman Anthony Misetich emerged as the top vote-getter at 35.8 percent. Councilman Brian Campbell was close behind in second place at 34.5 percent. Machado Lake Machado Lake is located in the Ken Malloy Harbor Regional Park bounded by Anaheim Street, South Vermont Street, Pacific Coast Highway and the 110 Freeway in Harbor City.
