Interest rates move down again
Interest rates for buying a home on the Palos Verdes Peninsula moved down about a tenth of a point with the Feds latest announcment.The following are excerpts from the newsletter on interest rates published by HSH Associates : "As expected, mortgage rates moved lower this week in the wake of last week's inaction by the Federal Reserve. Ever wonder how Rosecrans Avenue in Manhattan Beach got its name? It was named after General William Starke Rosecrans, or €œOld Rosy € as he was known to his men. The work included refinishing the wood floors throughout the house ( family room, kitchen, entry, hallway and 2 bedrooms), repainting the interior and exterior, new carpeting in 3 bedrooms and living room, new landscaping, various repairs and new light fixtures and door hardware. Buyer for Fresh and Easy Markets Elusive
British retailer Tesco is having a tough time disposing of its U.S.-based Fresh & Easy division. While earlier this year there was speculation that Whole Foods and Aldi may both want to take some Fresh & Easy locations, our sister publication Supermarket News reports that the only real bidder has been Yucaipa Co. and those negotiations are not going so well.
