One of the popular tourist attractions was The Redondo Beach Lightning Racer roller coasterwhich had two parallel tracks. The Rolling Hills Estates City Council will discuss possible changes to city ordinances relating to boarding horses and horse stable requirements. The meeting will be held at the Rolling Hills City Council chambers at 4045 Palos Verdes Dr. North beginning at 8 pm tonight. Joe Hoefgen, the former city manager for Palos Verdes Estates, has been tapped as the acting director of recreation and community services for Redondo Beach. Hoefgen, 47, on Monday began his new job, which includes overseeing operations of Seaside Lagoon, the Redondo Beach Performing Arts Center and the city's senior citizen centers.
