Palos Verdes School District Calender

The PVPUSD Board of Education has adopted a tentative calendar for the 2011-12 school year. As a direct result of the State approved flexibility in Education Code requirements for the number of instructional days, this calendar contains 176 days of instruction. Annenberg Foundation Drops Proposed Rancho Palos Verdes Project

The Annenberg Foundation has pulled out of a controversial project that would have created a community center with a focus on animals at Lower Point Vicente in Rancho Palos Verdes. The Foundation's Executive Director Leonard Aube on Wednesday sent a letter to Mayor Tom Long announcing plans to withdraw its planning applications for the project.
