Aminor earthquake hit the South Bay Of Los Angeles yesterday, but it was very mild and felt like a sharp short jolt. The temblor measured a preliminary magnitude 4.4, and was centered in the Santa Monica Mountains. There were no reports of damage or injuries, but it was a good reminder to think about emergency preparadness and seismic safety.
