After 4 years of improving success in the CIF playoffs, the Palos Verdes High Girls Water Polo Team won the CIF Southern Section Div. II CIF Championship on Saturday by defeating their nemisis Laguna Beach 6 to 5. “It hasn’t really sunk in yet. I don’t really believe it,” Palos Verdes senior Molly McBee said, in somewhat of a championship daze afterward. “This has been four years coming.” Palos Verdes kept forging ahead in the playoffs with two straight quarterfinals appearances and a semifinal run last season until finally reaching this years Division II final.
